Some of my papers are based on the results of
prototype implementations. On this page I offer these prototypes to the
community. Do not expect commercially polished full-fledged programs that work
out of the box. I wrote these prototypes for myself to give me a better
understanding of the theory dealt with in my papers. You may use and modify the
programs on this page with just one restriction: there should be a reference to
my home page (http://www.cs.utwente.nl/~brinkman/).
Linear and tree search in encrypted data
To demonstrate the principles explained in the following two papers I have
written a prototype implementation:
-
R. Brinkman, L. Feng, J. M. Doumen, P. H. Hartel and W. Jonker,
Efficient Tree Search in Encrypted Data,
Information Systems Security Journal, 13 (3), pp. 14-21, Jul., 2004,
ISSN 1065-898X

-
R. Brinkman, L. Feng, S. Etalle, P. H. Hartel and W. Jonker,
Experimenting with linear search in encrypted data,
Centre for Telematics and Information Technology, Univ. of Twente,
The Netherlands, Technical report (TR-CTIT-03-43), Sep. , 2003
download pdf
The software can be downloaded (torrent), used, modified and
redistributed as long as the unmodified copyright notice is added. Note that
the software is a prototype primarily written for myself. Don't expect a
commercial project with GUI's and lots of documentation.
Using secret sharing for searching in encrypted data
A different prototype implementation accompanies the following two papers:
-
R. Brinkman and J. M. Doumen and W. Jonker,
Using secret sharing for searching in encrypted data,
Workshop on Secure Data Management in a Connected World (SDM), LNCS 3178,
W. Jonker and M. Petkovic (eds.) , published by Springer-Verlag, Berlin,
held in Toronto, Canada, Aug., 2004, pp. 18-27, ISBN 3-540-22983-3

R. Brinkman and B. Schoenmakers and J. M. Doumen and W. Jonker,
Experiments With Queries Over Encrypted Data Using Secret Sharing,
VLDB Workshop on Secure Data Management (SDM), vol. LNCS 3674,
W. Jonker and M. Petkovic (eds.) , published by Springer-Verlag, Berlin,
held in Trondheim, Norway, Sep., 2005, pp 33-46, ISBN 3-540-28798-1
