On this web-site you will find all the information for the introductory module on Telemtics Systems. The term Telematics is derived from Tele-Communication and Information Technology. The most well known telematics systems today are the telephony network and ,of course, the Internet. Many of you are familiar with these 'systems', simply by virtue of using these systems on a near daily basis.
In this module you will not so much extend your knowledge as a user of these systems. instead you are going to look into these systems and learn about how they are structured, how you can deal with the complexity of these systems, what problems are to be solved and how they can be solved.
This module combines assesment of theoretical and conceptual knowledge of Telemtics Systems with practical training that support and illustrate the theory and concepts. This module and web-site have been developed for CODI. The module contents is a derivative of the course given at the University of Twente (the Netherlands).
