Claudia Hauff
About me
In October 2005, I joined the Human Media Interaction Cluster of the University of Twente as a PhD student with Franciska de Jong and Djoerd Hiemstra as supervisors. During the first two PhD years, I focused my research on concept retrieval; now I am mainly interested in query difficulty/query performance prediction/collection query hardness/etc.
Currently, i am in the last stage of my PhD, with the defense scheduled for January 2010. Afterwards, I hope to find a position in research & development.
Between 2000 and 2005 I spent my time studying for a Diplom degree (equivalent to a Bachelor & Master) in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics at the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, Germany and the University of Glasgow, UK.
