Beamish Chapel the old school in the Beamish open air museum witnesses two mathematicians scribbling their quasi-stationary findings on a slate tablet. It's called:"Wiskunde"

Reference 7 deals with a question Pauline asked me while studying a letter by Harry Kesten related to her thesis work. Please look whose solution is on top (of p. 260)

Before her untimely death on April 23, 2008, Pauline worked at the mathematics department of the University of Durham , together with her husband Frank Coolen, who was a constant support during her long years of illness. After living in Durham for a short time they moved to the historically interesting town of Chester-le-Street nearby.
Many years back, before she eloped to England, we had our regular cross-word sessions during lunch time and late and copious meals together with other Ph.D. students of the time as Gertjan Otten and Theo van Bemmelen. She will be remembered by all of us for her modesty, great courage and kindness of heart.
