I am a postdoctoral researcher in the <a href="http://ps.ewi.utwente.nl/" target="_blank"> Pervasive Systems Group (PS)
</a>
at University of Twente, from where I also received my PhD title in 2008 with the thesis <a href="http://eprints.eemcs.utwente.nl/13870/" target="_blank">Collaborative Wireless Sensor Networks in Industrial and Business Processes </a>.
I come from Romania, where I graduated "Politehnica" University of Bucharest".
<p/>
My work is in the area of Wireless Sensor Networks and Smart Collaborating Objects, currently with a specific focus on distributed motion sensing.
I was/am involved in several EU and Dutch research projects: <a href="http://www.ict-sensei.org" target="_blank"> SENSEI </a>, <a href="http://www.aware-project.net/" target="_blank">AWARE</a>, <a href="http://www.ist-e-sense.org/" target="_blank">e-SENSE</a>, <a href="http://www.cobis-online.de/" target="_blank">CoBIs</a>, <a href="http://www.smart-surroundings.nl" target="_blank"> Smart Surroundings </a>. I am very interested in applied research and therefore I am also a co-founder of the spin-off <a href="http://www.inertia-technology.com" target="_blank"> Inertia Technology </a>.
<p/>
Besides research, I like very much history, particularly ancient Romanian period
<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacia" target="_blank">(Dacia)</a>, and literature.
And, of course, all the parties and the sport activities from our very lively group!
