About

I am an enthusiastic Internet security professional looking for opportunities after obtaining a PhD degree from the University of Twente, under the supervision of Aiko Pras.

My expertise is on network security, with special focus on large scale networks. During my PhD, I have focused on the cluster of malicious hosts on the Internet -- the so-called Bad Neighborhoods -- and put it under scrutiny, in order to determine patterns that emerge from it. The idea behind it is to employ these patterns to advance the state-of-the-art in network security and intrusion detection -- a contribution that has direct application in industry.

I am currently looking for positions in which I can contribute directly to hands-on Internet security solutions. I can bring all the expertise obtained during the PhD (in which I have focused on real world large scale networks) to develop next-generation network security solutions.
