Welcome
I am a PhD associate at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. I joined the Architecture and Services of Netwrok Applications (ASNA) group of the University of Twente in July 2006. In July 2007 the ASNA group has been dissolved and I have been assigned to the Software Engineering group (TRESE) group.
I was born in Vitória, Brazil where I received the Master of Science in Computer Science degree from the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo in September 2004. My Master's dissertation title was "Semantic Services Support for Context-Aware Platforms" and has been carried out under the supervision of Prof. Dr. José Gonçalves Pereira Filho. The dissertation was partially developed in the Architecture Group of the University of Twente, the Netherlands, under the supervision of Dr. ir. Marten van Sinderen and Dr. Luís Ferreira Pires.
My research interest are:
Context-aware applications and platforms;
Semantic Web Services;
Domotic systems;
Goal-based design;
Service ontologies.
Student Supervision
Currently co-supervising Freek Uijtewilligen on his work titled "A Framework for Context-Aware Applications using Augmented Reality: A Train Station Navigation Proof-of-Concept on Google Android". Defense schedulled to 15th January 2010.
In December 2007 Rien Boekstra defended his Master's dissertation. In his work titled "Implementation Environments for Semantic Web Services" he evaluates currently available environments of Semantic Web Services technologies and proposes extensions to cover the requirements for these platforms. Supervisors: Dr. Luís Ferreira Pires, Dr. ir. Marten van Sinderen and Luiz Olavo Bonino da Silva Santos. |
