Roel at different levels of maturity:
Roel Wieringa is chief email distributor of the department of
Services, Cybersecurity and Safety of the faculty of Electrical Engineering Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of
- E-prints of all my publications
and of my
design science methodology publications only.
- I have given Design Science Methodology presentations for a while now. If you contact me, I may even visit you to give one of these presentations, and you can indicate the desired maturity level.
- General overviews
15-minute micro-tutorial on design science methodology. Presentation at the Doctoral Symposia and Empire workshop at the RE 13 conference, at REFSQ in several years, and at CAiSE 2015.
Focus on distinction beteeen design problems and knowledge questions; design cycle to solve design problems.
Design Science Methodology.90-minute or 180-minute tutorial given at various conferences and universities.
Highlights of chapters 1-11.
6-hour PhD course given yearly for PhD students at the Netherlands School for Information and Knowledge Systems (SIKS), and recently at the IFI summer school at the University of Zuerich. Treats chapters 1-11 except 4, 5, and 6. The course focusses on formulating research qoals, questions, theories and research design.
- 6-hour version of the Master course given yearly at the Sorbonne, restricting itself to the design cycle (chapters 1-7). Same slides in handout form: here.
- 16-hour course for master students, with exam questions and practicum assignments. In the course I treat chapters 1-11 of my book on design science.
- Special topics
