This incredibly minimalistic webpage is a long-term temporary one to facilitate work on the functional programming language TINA. Below is a repository where files will be made available, followed by the very consise TINA-FAQ.

What is TINA?

TINA is a recursive acronym. It stands for Tina Is Not Amanda. As the name suggests it is derived from Amanda, a Miranda derivative by Dick Bruin with support for graphics and events. The project started out as an expansion of Amanda with network I/O, but it turned out the upkeep of archaic Amanda code would be quite a complex task (for starters, it would require a DOS Borland C++ compiler PRE 3.0). Now we've set out to improve Amanda by completely revising the code with aspects like upkeep and expandability in mind.

What is the status of the TINA project?

We are still very much in the early stages of the design, so a first running version hasn't been schedualed yet.
