TIOS Technical infrastructure
TIOS DEFAULT ENVIRONMENT

The default working environment is meant for TIOS-users. It contains applications for editing, desktop publishing, software development or other activities.

Upon the installation of a new account the default environment is made available. You just have to log in and you can start working immediately.

The default environment consists of the following:

The visibility item in the table above has one of the following three possible values:

All applications summarized in the table, and some additional ones such as printtool, xload, calentool, are accessable through menus. All window-related actions, such as resize, iconfy, and close, are included in menus.

If you have an account, but you don't have the TIOS default environment, you can install it yourself.
