Short Biography
Dhaval Vyas is a research student at the Human-Media Interaction group of University of Twente – one of the 3 technical Universities in the Netherlands. He is also a Visiting Researcher at the Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Dhaval has a Master’s degree in Distributed Interactive Systems from Lancaster University, UK and an under-graduate degree in Computer Science from Gujarat University, India. Dhaval currently collaborates with several academic and industrial partners of the IST-EU AMIDA project. His supervisors include Prof. dr. Anton Nijholt and Dr. Dirk Heylen, both from University of Twente and Prof. dr. Gerrit van der Veer from Open University Netherlands. In past, he worked for 2 years full-time at the Free University of Amsterdam as a researcher on the Panorama project. During this stay he worked as an intern at the design groups of Elsevier Science and Satama Interactive, both in Amsterdam.
Dhaval has spent 8 years in studying and researching in the Human-Computer Interaction field. His area of expertise includes user experience design, awareness systems, personal information management and tangible interfaces.
