On 07 Sep 2011, PS deligation met with a delegation from Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology (SIMIT). The objective of this meeting was to discuss future collaboration in the field of Internet of Things.

PS meets with a delegation from East China Normal University

On 07 Sep 2011, PS deligation met with a delegation from Computer Science department of East China Normal University (ENCU) and State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research (SKLEC) to discuss possible collaborations. The main collaboration subject between the groups was utilization of underwater sensor networks for environmental monitoring.

Aysegul Tuysuz Erman successfully defended her doctoral thesis

On 01 Sep 2011, Aysegul Tuysuz Erman successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled "Multi-sink mobile wireless sensor networks: dissemination protocols, design and evaluation”. The research has been performed under supervision of Prof. Paul Havinga (promotor) and Dr. Arta Dilo (assistant promotor).

Third edition of W3 workshop on Pervasive applications of wireless technologies

Go-Green project meets with end-users

On 4th July 2011, Go-Green user committee meeting took place in Nijmegen. The meeting started with a short introduction about the project, which was followed by interesting and constructive discussions with the end users about user expectations from energy management systems at home, automatic control of home appliances to save energy, and exploitation possibilities of the project.
