Debate on effects of digital education on green ICT

On 10 November and in the framework of the Sustainable Campus program of the University of Twente, a debate on effects of digital learning on Green ICT took place.
In an interesting debate between Petra Fisser from the department of education and Nirvana Meratnia from Pervasive Systems, role of ICT as an enabling technology for digitalization of education and its potential overhead on energy and environmental sustainability were discussed.

On 27 Oct, GENESI project meeting took place in Rome, Italy. In this meeting, consortium partners discussed project progress and possibilities to integrate research performed in various workpackages.

On 12 Oct 2011, Nirvana Meratnia gave an invited talk at Philips research, Solid State Lighting group. The talk was about energy efficient buildings, and in particular home, challenges and trends.
